身上
On one's body, on one's person, or simply 'body.'
Free Chinese vocabulary flashcard · HSK 1
Why does 身上 look like this?
身 (shēn) means "body" and acts as its own radical. 上 (shàng) means "up" or "on." Together, they literally mean 'on the body.' Imagine the first character representing your physical torso and the second pointing upwards to something attached to you!
